Specific shaving cream for travelling?

L1010822webIt might seem like too much thought has gone in to this, but I always maintain that if something is worth doing then it is worth doing right. So one day I was packing my bags to go travelling and the important decision of which shaving cream to take had to be made. For me it was a very easy decision and I will try to explain my thought process.

First there was the physical packaging for the shave cream. The way that my wash-bag works means that shave cream in tubes would fit better than those in tubs, so the cream must be available in a tube.

Secondly there should be no compromise in performance in terms of ease of foam generation or slickness and shave quality. I love shaving when I travel and so there should be no compromises when it comes to the shaving cream.

I then thought about when I travel and what kind of cream would be best suited. When I travel I often travel for business and these trips can often end up in late nights in the bar catching up with colleagues followed by early morning breakfast meetings so something refreshing would be good to shake off any hint of a hangover. Also if I am travelling for pleasure I often travel in the summer months or to somewhere hot so again something refreshing would really hit the spot in the morning.

Then it hit me. Like a thunderbolt of inspiration. There is one shaving cream that ticks all the boxes and that is Proraso!

Proraso has Eucalyptus oil and menthol in it which does not only give it a refreshing and rejuvenating fragrance to aid the recovery after a night of excess but also when rinsed off with cold water gives the face the revitalising feeling like it has been slapped by an arctic breeze, a feeling not only sure to awaken after a late night but also much appreciated in tropical climates. This is surely the perfect travel shaving cream.
